Hi everyone
I was wondering if any members know as to whether or not I can find out through the Volksbund Deutsche the origins of an exhumation of a German field grave in relation to where it was originally found and the process through to the last resting place and maybe any other information they compile regrding this process.
I have researched a German soldier over the past 2 years and have found that he was unable to be positively identified and so after exhumation was placed in the German War Cemetery at Valasske Mezirici(CZ)among the unknowns.
I would like to know specifically where he was first buried so I can identify / pin point the area in which he fought as closely as I can in which he was KIA to help further with further research in the battle action he was involved in, so I am hoping the Volksbund Deutsche have some records held somewhere.
Thanks for any help that may shed some progress on this.
Cheers
Mike
