      I checked....He did not take command until 7 August 1944 and only arrived in Paris on 9 August 1944. So in June 44, NO he was not in command of Paris. Tom

        General von Stulpnagel--- he was later arrested after the bomb plot.

          stulpnagel was military commander whatever of France, but was there a City Commander of PARIS June 44? was not Colitz he came later, I don't think it was Stulpnagel although he was military governor of France. Some Parisian member out there who can help us? Or even someone from France? any part of France will do! Greg
