Was wondering if anyone could give me guidance on trying to find the unit my Dad was in? He passed away last year and didn't discuss his military service very much, all I ever got out of him was he was Romanian (possibly a Schwabian German) that fought in Finland. He was captured in southern Germany and was admitted to the U.S. under the Displaced Persons program in 1952. Some research would indicate he may have been with the 2nd Giberg Division. Would like to have something to pass on to the grandkids. Any info would be appreciated.
