I purchased this Juncker J1 pilot badge some time ago and did some internet research on it's inscription finding out almost nothing. As I recall the unit was an early and short lived one. Can anyone add any information about either the unit or the person? Thanks in advance. Richard

A reference book in English will be coming out next month entitled "Kampfgeschwader 53 "Legion Condor": The Complete History of Kg 53 in World War II by Heinz Kiehl (Sep 28, 2013) A version already exists in German. The author is a former member of the Geschwader.Comment
