This could be a first hint. The Feldpost stamp of the unit is dated:

Feldpoststempel 1939-1945: 45473
Verwender: Postamt | Verwendung als: Aufgabestempel, Tagesstempel 30.7.1941-28.2.1942 Truppen-Entgiftungs-Kompanie 655.

Typ: Einkreisstempel / Form: Kreisstempel
Verwendungszeit: 30.7.1941 bis 21.5.1945

Entgiftungs= decontamination, a decontamination unit, apparently for troops,
found also attached to artillery units. See T. Houlihan's book, Kriegsprache.

yes, it's a chemical warfare de-contamination unit. Thankfully their skills were never needed!
