    GD RK winners

I’m on a quest to identify a tunic that may have belonged to an RK winner. There are traces of cuff titles on both sleeves, so I’m assuming that the fellow belonged to the GD regiment. Would anyone happen to have a list of GD RK winners with the rank of Oberfeldwebel?? Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Cheers,

    James

Just a thought, when you say evidence of cufftitle on both sleeves, GD obviously on the right - what do you think may have been stiched onto the left??

Do you have any pictures of your tunic? You should pose the question in the uniform section, with pictures. As you are aware, this board has some of the worlds leading GD collectors - Scott Pritchett being one - moderator

search his threads, look at his collection below:

you may get some great feedback,

          Erik,
Take a look at this thread and follow it through. I got the tunic from Chris Boonzaier a while back and he might know more about it than I do. When Chris had it, it did have an Afrika cuff-title on it. Whether it was original to the tunic, I'm not sure. There are indications of where cyphers or unit numerals were at one time on the shoulder boards. I'm not saying this was a GD tunic, just a remote possibility. If I knew the connection of this tunic to Peter Prien (see link) it might aid in the investigation. Total speculation at this point in time!<O></O>
