Tried the old Lexicon but it does not go down to that detail.

No idea for 1942 but in 1939 it was an Oberst Ebeling. Maybe he remained in that position???

Cheers for the steer but it does not fit as the doc I have is signed by a double barrel name, It is nothing important just a promotion doc to a clerk within the Bezirks office, I just wondered who his boss was.

Got it mate!

Member 'Hirschberg' has assisted me from a scan and he thinks:

'It is signed by Colonel Joachim von Linde-Suden. He was promoted to the rank of Colonel on September 1th 1941'

I will have a search for him now.

He still held the rank of Oberst and was still in command of WBK Celle in 1944/45.
