I can't find Willi Cryns on "Luftwaffe Officers Career List". I only have this information about Cryns is that when he was a Oberleutnant of the Luftwaffe and won the German Cross In Gold on August 21,1942 when he was a fighter pilot in 4/JG-52. That information was from ww2awards.com. This is when I need your help get more information about Willi Cryns.

The only Willi Cryns listed on the Ordensträger belonged to 7./KG-27 and won the DKiG as a Leutnant on 23rd Dec 1942.

Gentlemen,

Sometimes the ww2awards.com site isn't trustworthy indeed. There are plenty of limited information there and plenty of mistakes as well. I never heard anything about a Willi Cryns being a fighter as well.
