Gentlemen,
I found on "Axis History Forum" a Staboberstuckmeister Johann Wibblehoff who was awarded the German Cross in Gold on 11/24/1944. He was on the battleship "Scharnhorst" that won him his award. Could it be that it was awarded after he he was killed on Dec. 25,1943 when the battleship sank? What does a Staboberstuckmeister do when he was aboard a battleship? I can find no other details about Wibblehoff. Does anybody have any information about him?
Sincerely,
Edward L. Hsiao
