    Sgt. Donald Clark research.

    Hello fellas,

    need some help!
Many months ago i've picked up a very nice italian ww2 combat flag from a vet estate..
Now i'd like to know something more about that soldier!
Where he've served, where he was wounded and something' more!
May someone out there can help me?
    I just know few things..
    Sgt.Donal Clark, Phoenixville, PA.
He was wounded twice, and he served from 41 to 45.
Flags was captured in North Africa as seller said, so maybe he've served in N.Africa and then in Italy?
    Hope this help..
I know will be quite harder to know something about him, with few info about.. But lets try!
    Thanks anyway!

    Best regards,
    Andrea.

I looked for you, and he must be dead...I did find a person who could be his son, the right age, and close to phoenixville, as many times people move due to no work in lots of those small Pa. towns. His name is Donald M. Clark of pottstown pa. he is 60, and if you expect to get information on vets, you need all their information, such as middle initial at least. Even if this is the guy that is his son I cannot ask him personal questions for a total stranger when the item is not mine, I do not know you, or even what part of italy you hail from in tuscany. I am sure if this guy is not the right one, he has to be a relative . Happy hunting, and another reason I wouldn't ask, is what if the flag was stolen, and here I am with zilch information but a brief story lacking in details . Then it puts me in between a rock and hard spot. Maybe someone from pa can assist you, but there is too many unknowns for me to mess with tracking down a person without compensation for my time. Hope this helps some anyway, at least you have a real start , as I do this occasionally as these types of investigations is labor intensive , and his son , if he is his son, may not talk to me since the flag is not mine. But that is how you do it...it aint rocket science.

            Hey,

thanks a lot for your help, much apreciated!
Got that combat flag on ebay USA more than 1 year ago, and what i know about that vet, was what seller said to me!
Few things i know..But thats all!
            Seller was quite grumpy!
I was curious about flag's origin, just curious if it was taken in Italy or maybe N.Africa!
I thought you could go back to the service status of that vet through some website vet's association for example!
Just to know somethin' more about his service in North Africa and Italy!
            Thats all..
Btw i'll try to contact a friend of mine. in touch with some italian's front vets associations and telling him what i know!
Maybe he will be able to find out somethin' more!
            Lets see what happen!
            Thanks a lot anyway!

            Cheers,
            Andrea.
