Did Josef Terboven get the KVK 1 cl. without swords ???

Hi.

I wonder if Reichskommissar Josef Terboven got the KVK 1 class without swords ?
Later he used the EK 1 as seen on this picture.

Terboven got a KVK 1 class 15th September 1940 but it does not say if it was with or without swords he got...

He did, and it was without swords as it should be for a civilian government official.

Somewhere or other i seem to remember seeing a photo of him with the KVK

Most pictures seen of Terboven where he uses the KVK with swords, is a bit later but I think when he got the KVK 1 class 15th September 1940 it would be without swords for civilian government official - as Simon has stated.

Oh, I see; sorry: I took the question as being whether he was awarded the Swords version of the KVK I at all.

I have no detailed data on Terboven's decorations, but it was definitely possible to be awarded the KVK without Swords and then later the Swords version of the same class. (but not vice versa)
