    Belfort help

    hello guys,
    i have a grouping from a guy who fell at the Belfort. do any of you know what that is? or have any info about that battle? would you also know if there might be a cemetary close by where he might be buried?

    If you check his name in the Volksbund list perhaps they can show you where he is burried.

    Even is he was KIA near Belford he could have found his last rest in an other cemetery.

      hello Gerdan,
      thank you for your reply, i tried the volksbund but he is not listed. he is listed though on a memorial in his hometown Russelsheim.

        may be you could contact the "Stadtarchiv Rüsselsheim" and ask for him and his fate.

        Sometimes they have more information on the soldiers from their town KIA during the war.

        Try to sent an e-mail to them.
