Wehrmacht Gebirgsjäger Lehr units ?

Hi all,

Does anyone know of Lehr units in the Gebirgsjäger ? I have picked up a nice (and genuine) set of shoulderstraps (dark green background) that have an 'L' and a small 5 attached. These seem to be original to them.
A friend of mine also has a pair (fieldgrey background) with an 'L' on them that were on a tunic he bought in Germany about 25 years ago.
Up 'till now I couldn't find anything on these units. They did have Schule ('S') I know.

Interesting. Tessin throws up a blank (although Tessin isn't 100% as we know).


About the closest i can get ATM is the Winter-Lehr-Abteilung der Hochgebirgs-Schule Fulpmes commanded by Hans von Schlebrügge, the unit which gave birth to the Skijäger units.

Any more background on this unit Patrick?
