Help with Named and Unit Marked Panzer Related Helmet

Gentlemen. I have been lucky enough to acquire a double decal Heer Helmet named to VIEHL with his unit details.

I believe the helmet did have some exposure on another forum but I would be grateful for any information on the unit and most importantly, the man himself.

Is it possible to determine what happened to him, was he a casualty and if so, what theatre? I plan to launch the helmet itself for discussion on the helmet forum.

    Regards, Simon

As you can see, he was, at the time (pre or very early war) on the staff of the stabskompanie of the panzertruppenschule, which i believe is the one at Wünsdorf

As to this oberschutze Viehl, in short, there's no chance of finding anything out about him, there isn't even a first name.
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.
