Any Information on Major iG Hans Jochen Friedel

Friedel was the Staff officer who accompanied Kinzel and von Friedeburg to surrender to Montgomery at the Timeloberg. Any information or photos of the Herr Major woudl be appreciated. he is annoyingly cropped out of many of the surrender photographs I have found...

As always, any help much appreciated!

Thanks - this is definitely the "surrender" Friedel - I am trying to determine if a pair of GS trousers belonged to the same guy. They are named to a "Fahn. H J Friedel" and are dated late 1935.

yes, this must be the same guy. H J Friedel was commissioned leutnant with a seniority date of 1.4.36, in january '39 he was with 6./IR 96 still a leutnant.

Bingo! Thanks very much, Gentlemen. I was worried that his promotion dates wouldn't match up, but I have to keep reminding myself that every German officer, even on the GS, was not Rambo or a RKT-type personality.

Gents, I received the breeches today. Here's a shot of the name tag and his really worn breeches. What do folks think about those e's in his name? And can anyone tell what is after his last name?
