4 company, 7 Battalion, 20 Artillery Regiment info

Have couple of Soldbuch and Wehrpasses from Luftwaffe Artillery NCOs. These were assigned both to Flieger-Horst Kommandantur, Hilfs-Kompanie. Also 4. Kompanie Flieger-Ausbildungs-Regiment 52. They both ended their service with 4 Kompanie 7 Battalion Artillery- Regiment 20.
Any help with what area these 2 Luftwaffe servicemen were engaged in, would be appreciated. Thank you.

Probably some photos/scans of the Soldbuch will help!

The soldbuchs are pretty bad shape, got them off a GI's widow and just re-found them. Have tried scanning but comes out bad.
Just interested in were these Regiments were assigned, especially the Artillery. What regions and battles were they in. If I can scan them and get good pictures, I will post. Thanks

Often when someone asks these types of questions and the information they give isn't quite right people ask for relevant scans as it saves time and avoids people giving faulty answers.

There were two Artillerie Regiment 20.

One belonging to the 20 Pz.Gr.Div. and one belonging to 20 LW Feld Div.

Going by the fact that your guys were originally LW and that these books came in to the posession of a GI i think the unit you're after is this one

As you can see, this division fought in Italy, hopefully someone else who focuses on the Italian front can tell you where the division served.

As for the batteries and battalions. There was no 7th battalion in a German artillery regiment and this particular regiment didn't have a 4th battalion either. So, my guess here is that these guys belonged to the 4 Batterie of the II abteilung of Artillerie Regiment 20 (L).

You may see this abbreviated as 4./Art.Rgt.20 (L) or II./Art.Rgt.20 (L)

Flieger Ausbildungs regiment 52 was their basic training unit

        Flieger-Horst Kommandantur, Hilfs-Kompanie

we can't tell you anything about unless we know which fliegerhorst (airfield)

Can you make out the names? We could take a look and see if these guys survived or were killed.
