    Osten-Sacken

    Hi everybody.

I need info about "Ltn. Baron Osten-Sacken".

I also have a number- "40323" But i´m not sure what it means.

Found this on the tailor markings inside a pair of Munich made pants.

Curious about his army career and perhaps photos of him.

Pants are made by "Heidenredich & söhne" 5.9.40

    Kind regards.

If it's an fp number then these are the units it was assigned to. So unless the trousers are LW then the number is either incorrect or it's not an fp number.

        1.10.1940-27.2.1941 1. Batterie Reserve-Flak-Abteilung 113.
        8.9.1942-11.3.1943 1. Batterie schwere Flak-Abteilung 113.
        12.3.1943-7.9.1943 schwere Flak-Batterie z.b.V. 1500 und nicht verwendet,
        15.7.1944 13. I.G.Kompanie Grenadier-Regiment 1039, 25.1.1945 nicht verwendet

In jan.39 there was a Hauptmann baron von der Osten, genannt Sacken serving with 3./Nachrichten abteilung 56, he was an oberstleutnant by Jun.44, but given the rank i guess not him, though certainly family.
