The above is correct if they are wound entries......of course they have completely different meanings if they are medical defects!!!!

      These are were numbered 1-75

        wound codes, etc ...

        Hello,

Thank you very much for the help so far, but another question does come towards my mind => how can one make the difference between a wound code or a mediacel defect?

Attached is a scan of the Soldbuch in question. There was a wound badge in black awarded on the date of 02.06.1942 !!! ( so wounds it must have been )

Interesting...it was recorded as a non combat related injury (34) and then changed to 31a when in Prag hospital !!!

Noramally defect codes are not used in Soldbuch but you can find them there...also Kriegsmarine medical codes ranged from 1 -120...or something like that! I have a copy of the wound code book somewhere which breaks down these codes for Reichswehr and Wehrmacht.

            wound codes

            Hello,

It is indeed nice (or strange) to see that the wound code was changed =>

This might be a indication that some wounds where just looked at with extreme caution, the indication for this one tas the wound was a honoust one is the entry of the Wound badge in black !!!!!!! (otherwise i guess the soldier would not receive a award for it )
