FP Nr. 09902c mid '41 to 42

Okay, I'll take a shot at getting some help with this FeldPost Number. I know it belongs to a Kriegsmarine unit in the Kreta theater, but can anybody expound on it further? It's the main number on the Minensucher grouping I've got - but can't find much out about it - actually nothing yet.

Any and all help appreciated. Also anything to do with KM units down in that area around 1941 & 1942.

Kannapin states it to belong to Küstenschutz-Flott. Attika, Küst.überw.Stelle Attika u. Hafen-überw.Stelle Rafina from July 1942. the c would denote one of the sub-units.

Now, this flotilla included a Ritterkreuzträger. Korvettenkapitän Albert Oesterlin who received a posthumous RK for his service with the flotilla after his death on 23.1.1944. He had also previously won the DKiG on 18.8.1942. Also of interest is the fact that he brought 2 Pzkfw.II to Crete on 27.5.1941, i think the only panzers to be used during the fighting there.

Really appreciate the info. Gives me a little bit more to base my searching for stuff on. The guy served on a couple of different ships there, LXI that seems to have been an appropriated Greek vessel (sunk by a British sub 9 July 1941) and I believe U. Jaeger 2105 (or 7) that was sunk later on by a bombing attack early 1944.
