hi all,can anyone help in the location of the 24 ID in russia , october 1942.

I believe it was transferred from the Crimea to the Army Group North in mid/late 1942. The Division helped blunt the Soviet Lake Ilmen offensive late that year. Cheers,

Correct (reached there by Sept.24). Spelled as Gaitolowo in divisional history.

I have the commander listed as Baron von Tettau (1940-1944).
