Hi,
I'm looking for information who was commanding officer of 12./Gebirgsjaeger Regiment 218. I found information that he was Hauptman St. - but maybe someone could decipher the initials and help me with his full name.

can you give us more background information? where are you seeing this Hauptmann St.? St. is usually the abbreviation for Stab

A friend of mine bought an ID tag marked -1- 12./G.J.Rgt.218 and pair of Hauptmann's shoulderboards marked Hptm. St. on reverse

Ok, i've found him mentioned in the divisional history, it's Hauptmann Stützer and he commanded the kompanie in at least August 1943.
