information on dkig recipient

hello, i have a dagger that belonged to walter muller of the luftwaffe. the only information i have about him is this: he was a Beobachter in a KampFgeschwader & Dkig recipient. how can i research this individuals service in the second world war? where can i find any information regarding him?

There are 5 Walter Müller's listed as DkiG holders. you're sure 'your' Müller is the feldwebel with an award date of 1.10.44

Seems like a grouping broken up, i see PvL also had the dagger and a belt buckle.

It doesn't help matters that he simply notes the items are attributed to Walter Müller. Utterly useless as far as provenance goes.
