    Vinzenz Kaiser

    Could anyone tell me anymore details about how this man died.I know he was killed while being a prisoner by U.S. soldiers but thats about it.All those decorations he must of been one hell of a soldier. R.I.P. Vinzenz

      Thanks for those links though I have seem them befor.I was wondering if there was anymore details as to what happened that night,then simply beaten and shot.I`d like to know more about him in action.Was he mentioned in any books,or was he mentioned in a newspaper or anything like that back then.Seems he has about every award on his chest and I would think he would of been put in the press to boost morale or recruiting propaganda.Or was this that photo and there simply isn`t any other information?

          Try Florian Bergers The Face of Courage , there is a section on Zenz Kaiser who was described by other DF Veterans as a " right hard bastard ".

            Thanks Paul I will have to try and remember to keep my out for that book.Ran across this today surfing the net.Though not SS this guy reminded me of Zenz.
