    Hi,

Here he is on the Volksbund just drop the t on the end of his name:

    Nachname:Schlothfeld
    Vorname:Hans
    Dienstgrad:Hauptmann
    Geburtsdatum:15.10.1908
    Geburtsort:Rendsburg
    Todes-/Vermisstendatum:08.08.1942
    Todes-/Vermisstenort:Feldlaz.206 Burtzowa

The right one I read Wilhelm Nachtsheim - and I found one with this name in the Volksbund list but I fear it is not the guy we are loooking for from the grave:

      Wilhelm Nachtsheim

      MIA since 08.07.1943

      Nachname:Nachtsheim
      Vorname:Wilhelm
      Dienstgrad:Unteroffizier
      Geburtsdatum:17.02.1913
      Geburtsort:Barmen
      Todes-/Vermisstendatum:08.07.1943
      Todes-/Vermisstenort:Russland

In the cemetery Kursk-Besedino his name is mentioned in the memory book as MIA

        Thaks for the help!

        The other name must be:
Trachtsheim or trochtsheim, but can't get any hit on that neither. Born 18-2-22 died 14-8-42

The regiment he served, must be the Inf regiment 312 (the picture is sharpend, old school style with pen, the make the sign readable for the widow) but cant get it very clear. it says 5 (or 3)./ Inf Regt 312 mister Trachtheim is from the same regiment but 6th company.

In the Volksbund list I could not find any soldier KIA with the name "Trachtsheim" or "Trochstsheim", not even in the recent German phone book and if you google both names you also faile.

The name "Nachtsheim" you will find more that 250 times in the recent German phone book but this does not help.
