    I looked for Weiss' file to see if it provided a link to the higher unit for which he received the clasp, but his file doesn't exist or is misfiled.

        I have been working on the theory that Oberst Erdmann-Degenhardt
        commanded Grenadier Regiment 1143 ( 561. Volksgrenadier-Division) from 19 March 1945 to 6 April having taken over from Major Dennhardt, Oskar-Hubert.

        At that point could it have been called Kampfgruppe Erdmann-Degenhardt, The Division was destroyed at Konigsburg

          The link to what he did from 1942 until the end of the war could be "Konigsburg" as he was in the Landespolizei Konigsberg.........again any help appreciated
