KG54 KC holder ID

I have a big group of pictures from what i believe to be KG54 and this Knights cross holder appears in many pictures.Any idea who he is?

Thanks for the reply Bill,the only reason i thought it was KG54 was pictures of aircraft with the skull and crossbones insignia of KG54 are in the group.

Oberst Walter Marienfeld

I beleive the images show Oberst Walter Marienfeld, Ritterkreuz 27-November-1941 as Kommodore Kampfgeschwader 54.

For the purposes of comparison I have attached a Bundesarchive image.

Wearing Three Neck Orders!

Gentlemen,

I wonder what the other two foreign neck orders are along with his Knight's Cross. Looks like a Croatian one and an Italian one. Also there is a big star order badge that is pinned on his right pocket! These are rare pictures of Walter Marinenfeld as an Oberstlt. wearing three neck orders!

I stand corrected defiantly Marienfeld. I was trying to find what decorations Petersen was awarded as those foreign awards would have helped pin point it.
