    Micheal Wittman

Hello guys, this one should be easy for some of you. I am doing a figure of Micheal Wittman and so far have not been able to find the info that I am looking for. Was his cufftitle "Adolph Hitler"?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ralph.

    AH cuff title

Yes. I believe he wore the AH cuff title even when in Pz. unit Commander in the HJ unit in Normandy.

Correct me if I am wrong but I dont think Michael Wittmann served with the HJ Div in Normandy , he was with the 1 SS. Panzer Korps . This was a seperate unit from the HJ Division .

Correct, he never had anything to do with the HJ-div.

This photo shows Wittmann of course as the 2nd Company Commander of schwere SS-Panzer Abteilung 101 in Normandy. The soldiers of s. SS-Pz.Abt. 101 (and later 501) who had been in the LSSAH continued to wear that cuff title.

                  Best,
                  Greg
