He was interned in several camps, including Wojkowo, Karabas, and Workuta and in the prisos of Butirka and Lubjanka until finally repatriated to Germany in October 1955. He lived in Bad Godesberg until his death.</TT>

I don't find any awards in the published WW1 award rolls-- there is no way to find that for Weimar era Polizei personnel. The only photo I've ever seen of him is in "Old Style" field cap, after capture, with open overcoat... so not even a ribbon bar to guess what else he might have had.

Lasch

Hi Mike,

the January 1933 Prussian Schutzpolizei Dienstaltersliste shows him as an Hauptmann with seniority of the 7th of August 1912, i.e back to his initial army commissioning year. He was on the staff of the Polizei-Schule Sensburg.
