Hi Guys,
This is my first venture into this forum. Here is my question.---------
When I was about 14-15 years old my stepfather invited his new boss over
to the house for dinner. His name was Muller( I am not sure about the spelling)
He told us the story of how he was a U-boat captain in WW2 and how his
sub was sunk by the allies and he was captured and spent the remainder of
the war as a POW.(Scotland I think but may have been Canada) He escapted once but was recaught the next day.
Is there anyway to research this man. This was about 33 years ago so I'm
afraid that I can not remember his first name. I talked to him a couple of times
after that ( He payed me and a friend to paint his house ) He was a very
interesting man to talk to but he only lived in the area for about a year so I
didn't get to know him well. I was just amazed to talk to an actual German
officer living in smalltown Wisconsin.
Thanks for any information.
Greg
