    Help needed: identify 'Victory badge'

    Dear All:

I originally posted this on the General Awards forum, but as this is the forum for research, I have decided that this is the better outlet to ask the following:-

Does anyone know what the badge depicted in the link below is supposed to represent, and whether it is authentic or just a fake replica? Any idea as to when this might have been made?

    Any feedback is appreciated.

Here is a similar badge being sold at Snyder's Treasures:-

Though given Snyder's reputation and the look of his badge, I would be inclined to say that his is a fake. Any thoughts?

It appears the link I gave in the first posting does not work. Here it is again:-

This is the British National Socialist Bund Anti Communist two-piece member badge, apparently! The eagle looks like a penguin with wings!! LOL

I do not know if it was authentic - try Jamie Cross he knows about British Fashist badges. http://www.thirdreichmedals.com/

p.s. I would never buy anything from http://snyderstreasures.com/ - thats my personal opinion!

Yes, 15parabattalion: Snyder's version of the item looks very bad (poor detail, the penguin wings you note, and the marking on the back of the badge appears to be the wrong way round), and given his reputation, I am not inclined to take his word concerning the description. I have never found any reference to a 'British National Socialist Bund'. Of course, I agree with you that I would never buy anything from Snyder.

Regimentals' version of the item looks much better.

Try Jamie Cross he should know if it existed. Regimentals looks ok but they are expensive generally! I would not buy it without confirming it existed and confident its not a fake!
