Help Identifying Unit table top award. A.R. 71 1939

Identification of table top award to unit A.R. 71

I just picked up this Award or Christmas gift from an estate sale. Does anybody know the exact unit and the history of such unit during December 1939.

The award is marked Weihnachten im Felde 1939, II. (mot.) A.R. 71

I’m assuming that it means winter over in the field 1939, 2nd Regiment, 71 Artillery Reserve unit.

I may have the unit identification wrong, but I am guessing that this was a Christmas gift to all unit members who were serving on the front (Poland?) at the time.

I can not find any history of that unit, does anyone know? And am I reading this wrong?

Faithful Service Cross is just there to show scale.

    Thanks, Dave

Its either 2. Batterie or 2. Abteilung (Bataillon) from Artillerie-Regiment 71.
If it was an infanterie unit then it was Bataillon, but since Artillerie units use the Roman numbers also for their batteries.. i don't dare to choose.
I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

II Abteilung (Battalion) of AR 71 was part of Army Group C. The unit was positioned on the West Wall facing France in a defensive assignment after Poland during the "Phoney War" in the Winter of 39-40. The picture shows the Fortifications along the wall where the unit passed the Winter. Very nice item.
