    166th IR/GR

Hello, does anyone have the officer lists for the 166th Infantry Rgt. I am looking for a Oberst Lt. with WWI service, probably with the unit when it formed. Thanks,

In 1914, the Oberstleutnant of Infanterie-Regiment (Hessen-Homburg) Nr. 166 was named "Stadthagen." He held the Red Eagle Order 4th Class, Order of the Crown 3rd Class, and the Long Service Cross. He was became part of IR166 on 10 October 1912, before that he was a Major in IR52 (6. Brandenburg.) Before that, he was a Major in IR48 (5. Brand.) Before that, he was a Hauptmann, Obertleutnant, and Leutnant with IR59 (4. Posen.), starting in 1882.

If you need more specific info or want to check a different name, feel free to PM me.

Hello, thank you, I was refering to the WWII unit with the 82nd Division. I have a tunic for a Lt. Col for that unit with a WWI EK II and Spange.

I was going to suggest later RKT Martin Berg, but he was a later commander of IR166. About June 1942.

        Still searching.

No worries, my fault for not being more specific. Thanks for your input.

Thanks, I ruled him out, no WWI service.
