7./Jäger Regiment 69

I am currently researching a set of Luftwaffe documents, in which the Luftwaffen - Bordfunkerschein lists his Deinsteintritt on 01-October-1935 in Truppenteil 7./Jäger Regiment 69.


A search of line Orders of Battle has revelaed not even a mention of this Regiment (I am sure I am looking in the right place!) so consequently I am looking to see if anyone can shed any light at all on this unit.

As always any help at all will be very well received indeed.

You're mistaking the German use of J for I i think.

What you're looking at is 7./ Jnfanterie Regiment 69 which would look like 7./JR 69 when abbreviated.

Thank you for your reply and I think you are correct. It is written as 7./JR69 and I interpreted it as a Jäger as oppossed to an Infanterie Regiment.
