hope some one can help

looking for any info on Gefreifter Willi Albert Dog tag number N.1468/39T (what do these numbers mean, ID number and Date joined ? )... looking for any info on medals awarded, place/ship of service etc.... as im working on a display for this person....I know theres not much to go on.

The forum wont be able to give you any personal details on him but the N stands for 'North Sea' (the KM was administrativily divided up into North Sea and Baltic stations), the 39 is his year of enlistment and the T indicates which trade branch he was in. I don't have access to my books at the moment so cant tell you which one T refers to.

The T stands for Torpedomechaniker (Torpedo Mechanic).
