I am looking for information on the 7th machine gun battlalion. I am researching a waffenrock that I purchased.

Nice! the stamp on the second picture means "tested, 2./ M.G.7", and "2./" means second company.

And i happen to have a small grouping of someone who was in MG Btl. 7.

Thank you so very much. That is interesting to read that the unit took part in the occupation of the Sudetenland and later became part of the 14th Panzer (destroyed at Stalingrad).

Here is my waffenrock with medal bar showing the Sudetenland award on it (the medal bar did not come with the waffenrock).
