    Feldwebel Maibücher?

    Hello,

I know it's a long shot, but I'm going to give it a try...
I'm in the posession of a White Sumer Tunic of a Kriegsmarine Feldwebel/Stückmeister, which I have posted in another topic here.
The person who owned this uniform was at least awarded with the Eisernes Kreuz I Klasse and the Flotten-Kriegsabzeichen and had quite a large medal bar.
Although I don't know much about the person who owned this, his last name is Maibücher and he most likely lived in Worms.
I always see on this site that people get very fast search results from the Volksbund site but that never works for me for some reason.
If this person would have been killed during the Second World War, his name would be popping up there somewhere, right?
Is there someone who could help me?

Thanks in advance, and with kind regards,

    Koen.

I found only one Maibücher killed as a POW in WW2 in Russia January 1946 in the Volksbund list:

    Nachname: Maibücher
    Vorname: Hermann Peter Adolf
    Dienstgrad: Unteroffizier
    Geburtsdatum: 06.05.1910
    Geburtsort: Richrath
    Todes-/Vermisstendatum: 01.1946
    Todes-/Vermisstenort: Kgf.Lg. Beketowka

Hermann Peter Adolf Maibücher ist vermutlich als unbekannter Soldat auf die Kriegsgräberstätte in Rossoschka - Sammelfriedhof (Rußland) überführt worden.

I tried the recent German phone book and could find 18 entries Maibücher but no one in Worms.

Thank you very much for this information!
Richrath is not very far away from Worms so it might be the guy from the uniform or at least a family member.
Maybe sending a information request to the WASt will provide even more information!
I also looked in the phone book, but indeed no results, only one person's company name who lived near Worms.

        With kind regards,

        Koen.

(P.S; Finally my 100th post here haha. )
