Trying to determine what happened to LtCol Witte, 18th VGD, and I think one or both of these documents may tell me why and or where he might have been transferred out of the unit-any help would be greatly appreciated-Steve

# 1 I will try a translation:
Again I will inform you in written form that I did impeach you the 23.1.1945 from you command post as Commander of the Regiment because you did not execute my order of battle/fighting. An investigation of the court-martial will follow.
The receipt of this order you have to confirm.

# 2 (a bit difficult to translate for me because it is written in a very military speech)
Note for the file.
(To be taken to the judgement notes of Oberstleutnant Witte)
The 17. 1.1945 I gave order to the CO of Gren. Rgt. 293 Oberstleutnant Witte to start a forward command near Kaiserbaracke. When I called back after 45 minutes I noticed that Oberstleutnant Witte was still on his former position in Bern and he did not obey my order(s).
Thereupon I trounced Oberstleutnant Witte and told him that his conduct would be unancceptable and he did not take my orders and that caused that he would not have made progress fast enough.
