Looking for help to locate an area

I have a relatives records from the DD WASt and on there it states he was wounded 15.02.1942 in lljinskaja-Niwa. He's listed in Totenkopf Division. I know that particular division was in the Demjansk pocket at that time. So is lljinskaja-Niwa near Demjansk? I’ve looked on the internet for that area and nothing come up, I’ve also tried Google earth. If it is in the Demjansk pocket, I'm curious why he was never awarded the Demjansk shield.

    Thanks

    Chris

So no ideas then eh. I don't know if this helps, it also says that on 26.02.1942 he was transferred to Reservelazarett Krefeld, Teillazarett Maria Hilf (which I believe is in North-Rhine Westphalia.) of Lazarettzug 713.

I found this hint. An other German soldier was KIA in Iljinskaja-Niwa and he is burried in the cemetery of Ilina (Russia). May be this will help you a bit. When he was not reburried than his original grave should be near the place where he was KIA.
So must only find the town of Ilina.
