    Military War Crime Tribunal Info

Searching for information on the Military Tribunals that took place to prosecute people like Kurt Meyer and Jochen Peiper (any and all people are fine, not limited to these two).<O></O>

Email me links, direct me to books, etc. Anything and everything would be great!

Here are a few good links from Axis History forum (some information might be duplicated in these threads, but I'll give you all of them). AHF is a great resource for this sort of thing in general.

The trials that you are referring to took place at the Dachau camp after the war. They were conducted by the United states Army. The records, such as transcripts of the trials, the exhibits, including photographs and original documents, are in the National archives in College Park, Maryland.
Peiper was tried with Sepp Dietrich and others for the Malmedy massacre. I interviewed the now-deceased officer who reviewed the appeals of the convictions by the defendants, Colonel William Denson. He told me that he reccomended that all of the convictions be reversed (He wasn't listened to). A book about him, called "Justice at Dachau", was recently published. He was the prosecutor of all four concentration camp trial in the American zone (for Dachau, Buchenwald, Flossenburg, and Mauthhausen).

Let me know if I can be of any more help.

There was a guy at lowell last year who had an original signed copy of the PanzerMeyer trial transcripts-they were from a Canadian officers' estate. I had a long talk with him and he offered them to Robert Kondor. Transcript was interesting as it included written notes in the margins.

I have his card somewhere amidst the piles of papers that litter my desk. I'll see if I can dig it out.
I see him at the Lowell Show usually-if and when I go. I'll bet he is at the SOS. Bill Shea would have his address-or you can ask in the Community area. Somebody there will know.

I remember him saying he got it off ebay "at the last minute" and I think he was looking for @$100. This was @1999.
