According to my info after being part of 18 Pz. and Art.Div. it became independant (Heerestruppen) as Heeres Artillerie Brigade 88 (mot)...I only have reference to it being in north Ukrain and lastly (1945) in east Prussia.

25.07.1944 Heeres-Artillerie-Brigade 88 (motorisiert)

Served under the 18. Panzer-Dvision (1941-1943, central Russia), 18. Artillerie-Division (1943-1944, central Russia & Northern Ukrain), and since 27.07.1944 as "Heerestruppe" (lastly at Eastern Prussia).
