Help on le. Flak Abt 415 (v) Ardennes ??

    Hi all,

I have gotten an EK 2 award document for a soldier who served with 3./leichte Flak Abteilung 415 (v).
He got the award at 12.11.1945 while serving under the 16. Flakdivision.

Iam looking to find out were the Abteilung served at that date ? And also what means the (v) in the units abreviation ?
From his Soldbuch I see that he was missing in action and captured by the allies around that date.

Any help as to were his unit fought at that date would be great.

    Thanks for looking, Jens

    Hello Jens
    (v) : verlegbar (FLAK)

12.11.1945 ? Are you sure about the date ?

This unit belonged to Rgt. 129/16 FLAK Div.
After action in Dunkirk and Zeebruge it saw action in Holland and at the end was in the region of the Niederrhein where it belonged to Luftgau VI.

By my knowledge it didn't participate in the Ardennes.

      Hi Peter,

thanks for your informations. Of course I meant 12.11.1944, my fault

Thanks for clearing my two questions. Somewere I read that they were fighting in Belgium and Eifel in 44/45, therefore I thought they could have been in Ardennes as well. But that was just a thought.

Anyway, thanks alot for helping me out.

      Jens
