    Kommandant Z-27 - but who?

    Hello gents.

    I've just got hold of an photoalbum belonging to a crewman onboard Z-27. The album contains several pictures of the Indienststellung of Z-27 which took place on 26.2.1941. My guess is that the pictured KM officer is the first commandant of Z-27 - Korvettenkapitän/Fregattenkapitän KARL SMIDT who commanded Z-27 from 26.2.1941 until august 1942 when he was replaced by Korvettenkapitän Günter Schultz as Z-27 last Kommandant.

    Can anyone confirm that the pictured officer indeed is KARL SMIDT? I would really appreciate any feedbacks on this one
