    Hello,

    Can anyone please help me with research or infomation on the following soldier's,

    1st his rank, name & feldpost?
    O. Feldwebel Heb August LL0792

    I think he was a staff sergeant in the Luftwaffe?


    2nd his rank, name & feldpost?
    Unterfeldwebel Heinr Krumsiek
    4. L. S. Komp Kolm

    I think he was a sergeant in the Luftwaffe?


    I would very much appreciate any help on the research or information on either soldier.

        Mostischttsche / Tschernigow - Ukraine

        Now I hope that your Heinrich Krumsiek is among the three listed.

          I really thank you for the help, but I'm still stuck on what this means

          "4. L. S. Komp Kolm" maybe his unit and part of the country he was stationed?

            I think "L.S. Komp" means Luftschutz Kompanie (air raid protection). Kolm is the name of a town in Ostpreussen (Easter Prussia)

              On what are these names, helmets?

              On the first name, the rank is Oberfeldwebel, that does look like a feldpost number but if so the second L is in fact a number, so either a 1 or 2 i guess.

              On the second, how sure are you the name is Kolm? Could it be Köln instead? I agrea it's 4 Luftschutz kompanie but i doubt very much your guy was either of the three mentioned.
              Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

                wow you are good! My mistake after closer examination of the items, you are correct. All their information are on Gas Mask straps sew on tags.

                1st is Oberfeldwebel (Sergeant?) Heb August feldpost L20792


                2nd is Utfe (Unterfeldwebel (Sgt?) ) Heinrich Krumsiek
                4.L.S.Komp Koln (Luftschutz air raid protection city Koln)


                Is the 1st one in the Luftwaffe and the 2nd in the Luftschutz Reserves?

                  Can you double check that fp number. 20792 isn't a luftwaffe number but 20793 is.

                  Unterfeldwebel isn't a luftschutz rank and Utfe isn't really the proper abbreviation for it either.

                    Boy are my eyes going or the ink on the tag is smudged? I rechecked the tag and here is what I have read,

                    1st Oberfeldwebel (rank of Sgt?) Heb August (soldiers name)
                    L20793 (feldpost) the service is Luftwaffe.



                    2nd Rank is Uttz or Utfz abbreviated? Heinrich Krumsiek (name)
                    4.L.S. Komp (Luftschutz) Koln (city)
