Can Obergefreiter be a Kriegsmarine rank?

I am wondering if the rank of Obergefreiter exists in the Kriegsmarine, for example for costal artillery, etc...

yes, both gefreiter and obergefreiter. In the coastal artillery you will see them called Marineartillerie-Obergefreiter

Thanks Simond that answers a question I had too. I have a helmet(Naval) with a scrached out Montrose rank and then a Gefreiter with 12343H FP.

The rank is Matrosen-Gefreiter

The FP number belonged to the commander for the defence of the Cherbourg area.

One the other side is Gefreiter ??? & Fpn 12343H.
Was this A HQ for the Defensive Sector Cherbourg?
