and winner of either the german cross or a spannish cross

give me all the names you can find at that rank and with spanish cross or dkig

if im correct even 2 or 3 are kc winners

Hoffmann

There are quite a few Hoffmann's listed having received the DKiG but for officers there are only two with officer ranks "around Hauptmann" with flying units. They are:

Lt. Sigmund Hoffmann 5.(H) AG 32 - 12.12.43
Lt. Werner Hoffmann 1./StG 1 - 01.03.43

also Maj.iG Werner Hoffmann I./KG100 - 24.09.42

I would imagine if either one of these is your man it is possible the award of DKiG was rendered prior to his promotion in rank to Hauptmann.

There are also quite a few Hoffmann's of officer rank (including Hauptmann) who received the Ehrenpokal.

I take it this is from the Werner Hoffmann whom survived the war?? Believe it or not there are 2 Ritterkreuz luftwaffe Werner Hoffmanns...
