    29.Pz.Gren.Div in Italy

    Hello,
    seek information on action 29.Pz.Gren.Div on days 21-22-23-24 May 1944 for the defense line Senger. Particularly in the area of Terracina and Monti Ausoni.

      I also would like to know what Panzer was the PzRgt129 equipped with in 1945 if anybody has a clue?

            ciao Daniele.... do not know in 1945... but the 20th September 1944 (battle of the yellow line, Rimini) the Pz. Abt. 129 (capt Prauser) had esactly 7 panzer Mk IV ...

              And I have found Daniele another interesting table of the end of october 1944 listing the status of German Divisions after the reorganization and the reinforcements after the battle of the Gothic Line in Linea Gotica 1944 of Amedeo Montemaggi (from Bubdesarchiv-Militarakiv Freiburg RH 20-10-178 A.O.K 10-I A "Victor" : Anlagen zu K.T.B. 9, Anlagen nr. 543-632 27.10.1944, Band 6)

              the 29 Pz.Gr. Div. have in this date exactly 21 panzer MK IV

              the German Division that ave the StuG (is not indicated if Italians or germans, J think that the most part was italians) were:

              16 SS n. 14
              65 Inf. Div n. 4
              90 Pz.Gr.Div. n. 27
              334 Inf.Div. n. 10
              305 Inf.Div. n. 6
              356 Inf.Div. n. 7
              278 Inf.Div. n. 3
              26 Div. n. 1

                In Jentz's Panzer Truppen, volume 2, on page 248, he records a strength on March 15, 1945 of 17 StuG (12 operational); 46 Mk IV (44 operational); and 7 FLAK panzers (all operational) for the 29th PG Division. According to Jentz, this is derived from official German operational returns.

                    as I search this publication, I would ask about the vehicles that came in May 1944, the unity Flak of the 29. Pz. Gr. Div.? Perhaps SdKfz 7/2 Flak 36?

                    Light Flak Battery (mot)
                    Supply Column (mot)

                    Besides, who was the commander of the III Bataillon - 15 ° Pz.Gr. Regiment?
                    I know he was taken prisoner May 23, 1944.
