I just purchased his death card, and he is wearing the collar tab insignia of the 36th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS "Dirlewanger".

That'll be a RARE death card. There are very few photos of that tab being worn.

Was that the one on Klaus Butschek's latest update? It was a good update this week, I was going to get the Grossdeutschland deathcards but settled for the 6 GJD soldbuch instead.

Johann Puttner konnte im Rahmen unserer Umbettungsarbeiten nicht geborgen werden.

Die vorgesehene Überführung zum Sammelfriedhof in Budaörs - Sammelfriedhof (Ungarn) war somit leider nicht möglich.
Sein Name wird im Gedenkbuch des Friedhofes verzeichnet.
