If you want the best most detailed information on the division, why not get copies of the division's original records, or what remains of them?

NARA has 11 microfilm rolls on the 12 Pz.Div. covering the middle of 1941 up to Sept.43

                  rolls T-315-626 to 636

If you do not know the ropes there are those here and those some people recommend to go to the Archives and pull out what you want. You need to be specific on your needs as with that many files, it gets expensive.

If you read the pinned 'NARA guides online' thread it'll tell you how to go about it.

Get the relevant guide first and see what each roll has on it, some may not be that interesting but i noticed a lot of KTB (war diaries), maps, OOB and orders. If you can read German there is no better source, it all depends on how detailed you want to get.

Don't forget that you can order the rolls on DVD.

You can hire someone to copy the documents for you as well-

The other books you should be able to find through Booklooker de. or ABE books if they are available for sale.
