There is a possibility that if the air gunner is a DKiG holder that the pilot could have the same or higher. However it depends how many crews the air gunner has been with.
I have one group to a RK holder and his air gunner was a DKiG holder, but he also flew with some air gunners that had no high awards.
Of course it depends if the person was transferred wounded etc.
Another group I have is to a DKiG holder, his air gunner is also a DKiG holder but at a different time....their Goblets are also from different dates as they were previously on different crews and one had more operational experience than the other.
Finally another I have, the pilot was only flying for one year and had an EK I, he air gunner was a DKiG holder but received that in a different unit.
So you can's say just because one had a high award the other did!
