Fl.Gr.Göttingen(ZA). ???

Hi.

I have a Luftwaffe sword from 1934-35 with this engraving on and I wonder what the (ZA) means ?
It must be as follows: Flieger Gruppe Göttingen (ZA).

I would imagine it stands for Zeugamt - Ordnance (Stores), Equipment depot.

you are right Ian, the airfield in Göttingen was for repairs and for storage.
